Embankment on South Side of Love Bridge Strengthened from Erosion

The Seribu Islands Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) is strengthening the embankment with massive cubes on the southern side of the Love Bridge, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Seribu Islands Sub-district.

"This is done to strengthen the embankment structure and prevent erosion on the southern side of Tidung Island," Said Seribu Islanda SDA Sub-agency Head, Mustajab, Wednesday (10/22).
Embankment of Sabira Island's Docking Pond RepairedHe explained the work is done along approximately 103 meters. It has been ongoing since October 14, 2025, and is targeted for completion in the forthcoming December 2025.
"We involved 14 workers to do it. Hopefully, they can complete it on time," he explained.
He hoped that the embankment could protect the iconic Love Bridge tourist area from potential damage caused by sea waves.
"This effort is also part of preserving the coastal environment and supporting sustainable tourism," he explained.
This work received appreciation from one of the locals from RT 07/02, Tidung Island Urban Village, Ahmadi (46).
"We warmly welcome and strongly support this work, considering that reinforcing the dam is indeed our proposal. Thank God, it has now started being worked on," he stated.
